Layering Quartz gels

Build Quartz’s milky, translucent color in thin layers; use detail colors for a stone-inspired design.

At a glance

Apply Quartz in thin layers over prepared and cured compatible base. The base and compatible detail colors contribute to a stone-inspired design; Quartz alone does not create a pattern.

Apply in thin layers

  1. Prepare the nail and complete the compatible base or enhancement system. Cure that base according to its own directions.
  2. Apply a thin layer of Quartz gel and cure it for LED 30–60 seconds or UV 2 minutes.
  3. For more depth, add another thin Quartz layer and cure it separately.
  4. For a layered design, place compatible detail colors in controlled layers and cure each gel layer as the design develops.
  5. Apply the selected compatible top coat and follow that product's own cure schedule.

Keep the translucent depth

Quartz shades are milky and translucent. Use thin layers to build depth while keeping the softer transparent look; do not force opacity with one thick coat. A stone-inspired design comes from the base, Quartz, and compatible detail colors. Quartz alone does not create a pattern.

Compare combinations

Compare reference tips over different bases or detail colors, keeping layer counts consistent.
